Stefano Hurtado's 2025 TCS New York Marathon Fundraiser

Hi! My name is Stefano Hurtado, and I’m honored to be running my first full marathon in support of Children of Bellevue. I work as a Proposal Operations Associate at Rightway, where I help improve the processes that connect people with accessible, affordable healthcare. My passion for equitable care is what drew me to Children of Bellevue—an organization that embodies this mission for children in need every day.

Before working in healthcare, I spent my educational years tutoring after school programs in my community of Oakland, and I see this marathon as a meaningful intersection of my past and present: supporting children in getting the care they deserve, regardless of background or circumstance.

I began running consistently in October 2023 after years of struggling with my health. Through lots of learning and sore legs, I’ve since completed a 5K and two half marathons. At first, running was purely for me—to get healthier, sleep better, and improve my mental health. But now that I’ve achieved those personal goals, I want to run for others.

I live in Brooklyn and frequent my favorite running spots: the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge Park. If you’re out there in the afternoons, you’ll probably catch me there—training for the NYC Marathon, and running for something greater than myself.
